Haiti - NOTICE : Forbidden hunting in Haiti for 3 years !
The Ministry of the Environment informs the general population and hunting professionals in particular that from January 11, 2018 "all hunting licenses are reported and all hunting of migratory birds, waterfowl waterfowl of terrestrial species of wild animals throughout the national territory is prohibited for a period of three (3) years.

In the same vein, the Ministry is banning for an indefinite period hunting guns and poisoning of all migratory birds and waterfowl as well as trading of any other species of birds and terrestrial species animals living in the wild throughout the national territory.

These provisions are made in accordance with the provisions of the amended 1987 Constitution prohibiting practices likely to disturb the ecological balance and the obligations of the Convention on Biological Diversity of which Haiti is a party.

The Ministry warns that violators of these measures will be exposed to the rigors of the law and commits a defined environmental offense under the provisions of the 2006 Environmental Management Framework Order like 'any action or omission that contributes to degrading the environment, ecosystems or endangering human, animal or plant health in violation of legally established technical standards'

The Ministry is counting on the cooperation of all to implement these provisions."
