Haiti - Environment : Sanitation new promises of Moïse to the mayors 17/01/2018 08:32:36
This new meeting with the mayors from the different municipalities of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince was an opportunity for the Head of State to reiterate his commitment to the collectivities, who have a major role to play in the development of Haiti. He expressed his willingness to involve more in the future operations, all the public institutions concerned by the sanitation issue https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23229-haiti-insalubrity-9-mayors-of-the-metropolitan-area-call-the-authorities-to-dialogue.html while promising the mayors to make every effort to enable the populations of the metropolitan area and the rest of the country to evolve in a healthier environment. In order to allow town halls to better play their part in the sanitation effort of the Department of the West, the Head of State promised that heavy equipment and of large tonnage will be distributed in the communes.
