Haiti - Politic : Visit of Moïse on the site of the micro-power plant of Irois
Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Lafontant, visited for the 4th time, the construction site of the micro-power plant of Irois which will supply a mini grid 24/24 for the inhabitants of Irois and Tiburon.

Remember that this micro-power plant will operate 4 blocks of 36 small vertical wind turbines capable of producing 166 watts each and a system of 380 solar panels, for a combined total output of 145 to 160 kilowatts, and will have a diesel backup generator with a capacity of 150 Kilowatts.

This visit enabled Moïse to inquire about the progress of the work and to ask the site managers to adopt all the measures deemed useful to put this micro-power plant into operation before the expiry of the deadlines.

In addition, the Head of State reminded the people of Irois that consumers will have to pay for the energy used to help
sustain this project.

n addition, he announced that he had given instructions to the Public Company for the Promotion of Social Housing (EPPLS) for the rapid construction of twenty houses to relocate families adjacent to the site of the micro-power plant, which will have to be moved urgently for security reasons.
