Haiti - Politic : Agriculture, health, education Japan sign 3 donation contracts
Friday, January 26 in the framework of the three main components of cooperation Japan-Haiti : Improving Sanitary and Hygienic Situation, Promotion of Education, Agriculture and Food Security 3 aid contracts in the form of donations to local Micro-Projects contributing to Human Security (APL) were signed at the Embassy of Japan in Port-au-Prince, between Ambassador in Haiti Yoshiaki Hatta and Representatives of 3 local organizations with a view to supporting sustainable development.

Rice Shelling Center Development Project, submitted by the "United Planters Coordination for the Development of the 3rd Dessalines Section" totally financed by Japan for 69,700 US dollars, to improve the means, the quality and the quantity of rice production of about 700 planters with the installation of a mill and accessories of rice husking and conditioning.

Salmory Health Center Development Project to be implemented by the "Healthy Living Group for Participatory Development" (GVSDP) financed to the tune of $ 116.606. Through this project, the GVSDP aims to improve access to services and basic health care in the community of Salmory with a projection of 200 patients per week. With this support, the Center will now have four delivery beds, observation rooms, a laboratory, reception area, consultation rooms, a pharmacy, an administrative block, a toilet block and archives.

Development Project of the Dubedou Reformed Community School, Gonaïves to be implemented by the "Organization of Leaders for the Development of Dubedou-Artibonite", totally financed by Japan for 121,702 dollars. This project will give 200 students access to an improved school environment that meets the educational and security requirements for better learning conditions. This project includes the construction of a sanitary block, an administrative block and 7 classrooms equipped with appropriate school furniture such as: 67 benches, 10 chairs, 12 tables and 10 desks.
