Haiti - UN : End of Mission for Bintou Keita 12/02/2018 07:08:23 The UN representative, on her last day of work, signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which strengthens the joint actions of the UN organization and at the same time, paves the way towards sustainable progress, especially in building the capacity of national institutions, the local private sector, civil society and communities in Haiti. During her stay, Keita met the stakeholders of the Civil Society in Port-au-Prince as well as the Office of Citizen Protection and the Superior Council of the Judiciary, in order to identify with them the actions to put in place to advance the issue of human rights. The Assistant Secretary-General then addressed all Minujusth teams to commend their work and commitment to the implementation of the mandate. She also visited the Constitute Police Unit (FPU) of Rwandan at Minujusth in Grand'Anse (South) and visited the prion of Jérémie which has 304 detainees of which only 51 were judged...
