Haiti - Diaspora : International Women's Day, Message from the Consul of Chicago
On March 8, 2018, day recognized since 1977 by the United Nations as the "International Women's Day", Lesly Condé, the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago delivered a message that we invite you to read.

"On this occasion, we will pay tribute to women everywhere and naturally to those at home.

We know how all societies rely on women and the indispensable role they play in the very existence of our species. Today, she is becoming more and more confident and self-sufficient. We will all benefit.

As for the Haitian woman, she represents in the eyes of all those who know her, an example of self-sufficiency. Our society has always relied on its resilience, courage, optimism and imagination.

She taught us not to be afraid to excel."
