Haiti - Security : The intervention police better protected and better equipped 22/03/2018 08:06:47 This handover took place in the presence of Colonel-Major Ibrahim Bagadoma, Chief of the Pillar of Operations, representing the Commander of the police component of Minujusth and Joany Caneus, the Central Director of the administrative police, representing the Director General of the PNH. This equipment includes 500 protective vests, including 100 for the GIPNH, 50 ballistic vests with accessories for the intervention brigade, 70 rifle sighting glasses and 120 Galil rifle straps for the PNH task force, 20 lamps, 39 adaptable rails on staffing armaments, 20 radios with covers and 50 first aid kits for the Intervention Brigade. The Departmental Units for the Maintenance of Order (UDMO) and the Maintenance Intervention Corps (CIMO) also received equipment including, among others, 320 steel cuffs and 320 Tonfa rings. This batch of materials also contained 120 pairs of sports shoes. In his intervention Colonel-Major Ibrahim Bagadoma wished "that these equipment can offer these units better working conditions, that is to say, be well equipped while being well protected." In receiving the materials, Joann Caneus, representative of DGPNH thanked Minujusth for this invaluable contribution and assured "that these materials will be well treated and well maintained."
