Haiti - Digicel Foundation : Winners of the campaign «Konbit Pou Chanjman»
Thursday at the Karibe Hotel, the Digicel Foundation, which celebrated its 11th anniversary, held the closing ceremony of its "Konbit Pou Chanjman" campaign and the nomination of winners https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23287-haiti-digiciel-list-of-the-22-finalists-of-the-campaign-konbit-pou-chanjman.html among 21 finalist organizations and in front of many partners.

Launched in March 2017, "Konbit Pou Chanjman" offered non-profit organizations in the country the opportunity to submit a project to develop their community through the following categories : education, culture, inclusion, livelihoods, access and disaster prevention by allowing them to earn US $ 10,000 on a winning project by department.

As of June 2017, over 300 applications had been received and 63 retained for the second phase. These projects were visited by members of the Board of the Foundation during the months of September, October and November to be evaluated and to prove the impact of the work already done. In January 2018, 21 projects from the ten departments of the country were selected for the final phase and the organizations went to the Digicel Foundation from February 27th to March 2nd to present their projects and answer the various jury questions and follow training sessions on communication, leadership, management and governance of non-profit organizations.

In the final, instead of the 10 winners there were 11, a surprise offered by the Digicel Foundation who wanted to make an additional donation as part of its 11th anniversary. These 11 winning organizations each received $ 10,000 in funding.

"The Foundation has been working for many years with communities in Haiti to improve living conditions. Through this campaign we have tangibly identified needs in different areas. We look forward to supporting the realization of these 11 projects and to seeing the change," said Mrs. Josefa Gauthier, Non-Executive President of the Digicel Foundation.
