Haiti - Economy : The AAN threat of ban flights, airlines that are not in good standing
Irving Mehu, the Director General of the National Airport Authority (AAN) in a note dated April 4, threatens to ban the flights of airlines that are not fiscally in good standing with his institution.

"The General Direction of the National Airport Authority, presents its compliments to the heads of the airlines operating in the various airports of the country and reminds them of the obligation to regularly pay their fees to the Institution, in accordance with the tariff schedule in the sector and published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Haiti 'Le Moniteur' No 10 of 24 January 2012.

Consequently, a moratorium expiring on April 15, 2018 is granted to the airlines concerned to regularize their account. After this period, the National Airport Authority will be obliged to adopt the appropriate administrative measures in the circumstances, up to the prohibition of flights."
