Haiti - News : Zapping... 06/05/2018 11:56:56 Friday, the City of Les Cayes received a donation of 2 Tricycles (motorcycle 3 wheel with tipper) of Rotary Club. These Tricycles will support the efforts of the Town Hall in the collection of residues and waste in areas difficult to access trucks. The Town Hall has expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club and the business sector for providing free services to vulnerable communities and public and private sector institutions. Youth Olympics : Haitian-Canadian Bruny Surin, Head of Mission The former Canadian sprinter from Cap-Haïtien, 50-year-old Bruny Surin, will lead Canada's team as Head of mission at the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games, according to the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). Brunin Surin participated in four Summer Olympics (1988, 1992, 1996 [Gold 4X100m], 2000). Double world relay champion (1995, 1997) and 2 silver medals in the 100m at the IAAF International Association of Athletics Federations World Championships (1993 and 1995). PAP Town Hall salutes the memory of journalists... As part of the World Press Freedom Day, the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince hailed the memory of the journalists who died on duty and all those who fought for freedom of expression in Haiti as well as the work of media bosses, journalists' associations and press workers in general to consolidate this democratic acquis.
