Haiti - Petit-Goâve : The young people of La Digue and those of Nan Percin at loggerheads
Wednesday, the young of La Digue and those of Cité Eugène (Nan Percin) were at loggerheads, accusing each other about the blockage of the national #2 at the Pont La Digue Petit-Goâve.

Recall that the day before, three young people who live near the Pont La Digue had declared, at the microphone of Radio Préférence, that from now they will not tolerate any more that the demonstrators come to erect barricades and to block the national road #2 at the North entrance of Petit-Goâve (at Pont La Digue).

While opting for peaceful demonstrations, young people from Pont La Digue accused the young people of Percin (Bò lopital) of being the perpetrators of the violence and receiving money to erect barricades of burning tires and block the national road #2.

Reacting the young people of "nan Percin" close to the representative of the commune in Parliament, rejected the accusations pointing out that there is no demonstration without blockage of road and without erection of barricades. The only way they say, to make their voices heard in the capital and to touch the central authorities. In addition, they accuse the young people of Pont La Digue, to work for a specific sector. However, they promise to put aside violence in the pursuit of their struggle.

Johnny Alfred, a notable of Percin neighborhood, also asks the youth of Cité Eugène to abandon the violence and respect the rights of road users. On their side, residents recognize the right of protesters to demonstrate peacefully, but without attacking the passengers of trucks that go to the south of the country or to the capital.
