Haiti - Politic : Results of the parliamentary week 24/07/2018 09:27:11 In the Chamber of Deputies, in the absence of President Gary Bodeau, Vice-President Caleb Desrameaux tried unsuccessfully to hold a plenary session on July 17, 2018. With 44 respondents on the first roll call and 31 on the second, the requisite 60-member quorum was not reached and therefore the meeting was canceled. For its part, the Senate carried out 3 sessions: 2 in plenary and 1 behind closed door on July 17th. The first plenary session was held on Wednesday 18 July with the presence of 17 senators. The discussions took place around the riots from 6 to 8 July 2018. The second session was held Thursday, July 19 with 17 senators who continued discussions on the vote on the proposed law on the commercialization, possession, control and carrying of firearms in the country, from the article 4. The debate being finished the vote of this text remains in continuation.
