Haiti - Social : Fortnight of active citizenship of JCI-Haiti 02/08/2018 09:20:59 Insisting on three fundamental values, including civility, civism and solidarity, active citizenship is defined more as a mode of civic behavior and participation in the life of the community. In this sense, JCI Haiti wants to sensitize the young and not so young on civic engagement, mutual recognition and respect for dignity. "So we have to develop that sense of belonging and cultivate the sense of us, this us collective that can enable us to solve our various internal problems and thus work for the sustainable development of Haiti. JCI wants to remind you that Haiti belongs to Haitians and that we must join together to have this national reconstruction of which we all dream." As a result, members of the JCI network will organize a series of activities and projects in the various local organizations during this fortnight. Program, fortnight of active citizenship :
JCI Haiti calls on local authorities and public and private organizations to support and to accompany local organizations members, because together we can create great change through a pipeline of positive energies related to concrete actions. JCI Haiti recalls that August 12th will be Youth Day and take the opportunity to tell young people that they are the country's future "leaders", that they have "the responsibility to improve and become models of success for others in order to steer the country in the right direction and to make Haiti a strong and proud country. Dear citizens, let's stop being spectators but rather active citizens capable of carrying out together positive citizen actions for the well being of the Haitian community." HL/ HaitiLibre
