According to a note from the Minister of National Education, the school fees for the academic year 2018-2019 in public schools for the third cycle of basic and secondary are set at 1000 gourdes payable : 50% at the start of the school year, 25% at the beginning of the 2nd quarter and 25% at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. No fees for 1st year to 6th year of fundamental. The Ministry warned that any offender will be punished severely according to the regulations and laws of the Republic, recalling that the law provides for a fine of 50,000 Gourdes against school principals guilty of complicity or violation of the law.
