Discussions began on the final declaration of taxes and discharge of new ministers, and after 4 hours of heated debate there was a suspension of sitting. For their part, Senators Kato, Nenel Cassy, Latortue, Beauplan, Ricard Pierre, Dumont and Jean Mary Solomon called for the dismissal of ministers who did not get their discharge on time and who paid their income taxes late. At approximately midnight, Senate Speaker Senator Joseph Lambert said, "The Senate must remain the Mecca of democracy in Haiti. After long hours Jean-Henry Céant was finally able to present the statement of his general policy. Almost all the senators present have already asked to speak, asking questions to the appointed PM, who in turn responded, he was questioned among other things about the time and means to apply the measures he announces without any details. Early this morning a little after 5 pm, the appointed prime minister had answered yes to virtually all senators' requests... Finally this Saturday shortly after 7 am; the General Policy Statement of Prime Minister named Jean Henry Céant was approved by the Haitian Senate by 21 for 5 against and 2 abstentions. After the Senate, the Prime Minister named Jean Henry Céant and his cabinet are expected this Saturday, September 15 to the Chamber of Deputies for the presentation of its general policy "The session of presentation of the general political declaration of the Prime Minister named Jean-Henry Céant is scheduled for tomorrow in the Chamber of Deputies in the event of a favorable vote in the Senate," said yesterday the Speaker of the Lower House, Gary Bodeau.
