Haiti - News : Zapping... 05/10/2018 12:43:54 On Thursday morning, one person died and more than 17 others were reportedly poisoned after inhaling a poisonous gas at magasin de l’État Street. According to a source close to the Ministry of Public Health, the gas could be "nitrous oxide" that comes from a garage in the area. Most of the intoxicated people are currently in the general hospital. Epidemiological surveillance officers were deployed on site. Towards a reduction in commodity prices On Thursday, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant met with the main producers and importers of basic products. This preparatory meeting took place with a view to reducing commodity prices for the benefit of consumers. In his speech Céant said "[...] the administration Moïse/Céant is convinced that the civil, political, social, economic rights form an indivisible whole [...] The Government that I have the privilege to direct is convinced that, without the respect of these rights, no development action can be achieved."
