Haiti - Elections : The date will be respected, the process is proceeding
Richardson Dumesle, spokesman of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) speaking to the press, yesterday Friday, at the Vote Tabulation Center (CTV) declared "the Provisional Electoral Council will publish preliminary results not later than March 31" stressing that "the date will be respected". He also indicated that almost all of the minutes had already arrived in Port-au-Prince, on Thursday, March 24, 569 minutes remained to receive.

Note that since March 24, 2011 3:36pm, no new information on the progress of the tabulation process is provided by the institution. The latest data show that 34.19% of minutes (PV) were treated. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-2608-haiti-elections-the-point-on-the-tabulation-this-thursday-march-24.html

During the press conference Richardson Dumesle, indicated that the process of treatment of the minutes is done "in a transparent manner and with professionalism", but the spokesman did not inform the press about the number of minutes quarantined.

In addition Mr. Dumesle said "with 34% of minutes treated, no indication on the winner of the presidential is currently available".

All we can say, without being able to communicate on the progress of the tabulation process, because the institution did not report new figures, is that the process is proceeding under the eyes of the national and international observers and representatives of the two candidates, Mirlande Manigat chosen Max Mathurin a former president of the CEP and Paul Duchatelier as representing. Michel Martelly is represented by Alexander Azard.

For his part the representative of Mr. Martelly has denounced to the press yesterday a lack of transparency "we do not know what happens in the process".
