Haiti - Social : Transport strike, a decision precipitated ?
The watchword of strike yesterday, launched by several transit union, after the announcement of the increase in petroleum products by government https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-2605-haiti-society-the-fuel-is-more-expensive-my-dear.html has been more or less followed across the country.

If this strike was partially observed in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, forcing people to walk... Despite the mixed results of the strike, Retès Réjouis, President of the Federation of Haitian Public Carriers (FTPH) expressed his satisfaction about this day strike and congratulated the drivers who followed the watchword Monday.

For his part, Paul Loulou Chéry, Secretary General of the Confederation of Haitian Workers (CTH) said Monday, in the local media that he had nothing against the principle of the strike but he described this decision of strike precipitated. Recalling that the strike action comes when the stage of negotiations has been exhausted.
