Haiti - Politic : Results of the elections of the bureau of the Chamber of Deputies

Following the elections held in the Chamber of Deputies on the night of Tuesday 15 to Wednesday 16 January, the results are as follows for the members constituting the new bureau of the Lower House in Parliament for the 2019 legislative year :

President : Gary Bodeau Deputy for Delmas (BOUCLIER) was reelected with 104 votes declaring "I express my gratitude to the Assembly of Deputies who once again gave me confidence in taking me back to the head of the Bureau."

Vice-president of the sessions : Caleb Desrameaux Deputy of Tabarre (VERITE) was re-elected.

Vice President for Administrative Affairs: Jean Étienne Deputy of Cap-Haïtien (LAPEH) was elected in the second round with 61 votes). He replaces Deputy Myriam Amilcar. The fight was very tight for the post of Vice President for Administrative Affairs, between the Candidates in the first round the votes were for Patrick Norzeus (31 votes), Étienne Jean (47 votes) and Baudelaire Noëlsaint (36 votes). According to article 7 of the internal rules of the Chamber, a second round must have been made between the 2 candidates who obtained the highest number of votes in the first round. Finally, Deputy Jean Étienne was elected with 61 votes.

First Secretary : Marie Gladice St Jean Lundy (BOUCLIER), the Deputy of Jérémie was elected with 59 votes against the deputies Jean Willer Jean who represented (32 votes) and Fritz Adrien (24 votes). She replaces the Deputy Jean Willer Jean.

Second Secretary : The Deputy of Savanette Guerda Alexandre Benjamin (KID), re-elected to this position with 76 votes;

Quaestor : The Deputy of the 2nd constituency of Aquin Gandhy Dorfeuille (PHTK) was elected with 99 votes. He replaces the Deputy Anouce John Bernar

Vice-Quaestor : The Deputy of Anse à Foleur (PONT) Louis Marie Bonhomme re-elected for a second term.
