Haiti - Elections : The tabulation is completed, the die is cast 04/04/2011 12:41:15
As we announced yesterday, nothing should delay the publication of the results today, now the question is to know at which hour the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) will make the announcement and with how many hours late... Present but discreet, the security forces are becoming increasingly visible in the capital and in some sensitive cities as Les Cayes and Cap Haitien. In Port-au-Prince, an armored vehicle is parked near the CEP recalling that we are at D-Day. Some patrols roam the city. Jean-Francois Vezina, spokesman for the UN police, which supports the National Police of Haiti (PNH) has indicated "We are strengthening our presence in specific areas, including all HQ of political parties" without forgetting ... the residence of Gaillot Dorsinvil, President of CEP, which is regularly subjected to threats... Several traders covered with plywood the windows of their stores in anticipation of social unrest. Most citizens who could afford it, have made provisions and many empty shelves attest to the concern of the population. For the second round of presidential and legislative elections in Haiti, the progress in the process at the Vote Tabulation Centre (CTV) on April 3, 2011 at 11:30pm was the following: President: Total number of minutes : 11,182 Minutes processed (tabulation completed) : 11,089 (99.17%) Minutes in progress of treatment : 5 (0.04%) Minutes to receive : 88 (0.79%) Senator: Total number of minutes : 5,134 Minutes processed (tabulation completed) : 5,059 (98.54%) Minutes in progress of treatment : 2 (0.04%) Minutes to receive : 73 (1.42%) Deputy: Total number of minutes : 9,619 Minutes processed (tabulation completed) : 9,506 (98.83%) Minutes in progress of treatment : 21 (0.22%) Minutes to receive : 92 (0.96%) TOTAL of the Tabulation completed : 25,654 minutes (98.92%) TOTAL of the Tabulation in treatment : 28 minutes (0.11%) TOTAL of the minutes to receive : 253 minutes (0.98%) S/ HaitiLibre
