On Friday, an economic and financial governance pact was signed between the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH). This agreement concerns a mechanism for advances of funds to the Public Treasury and the settlement mechanism of the oil bill. Moïse Jean Charles calls for mobilization Wednesday at the Champs de Mars, Moïse Jean Charles, the leader of the radical opposition of the "Pitit Desalin" Party, fierce opponent of the PHTK, launched an appeal for popular mobilization to demonstrate on February 7. He again demands the departure of Jovenel Moïse and Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant, saying that the country needs new leadership to prevent the country from falling into chaos. Explaining that this demonstration is also against the corruption, asking the justice to proceed to the arrest of all the presumed dilapidators of the PetroCaribe fund in the perspective of their lawsuit and express the support of that Haitian population in Venezuela and its President Nicolas Maduro. New President at the Court of Cassation Friday, President Jovenel Moïse with Jean Roudy Aly the Minister of Justice, proceeded to the installation of Me Rene Sylvestre (from St-Marc) as the new President of the Court of Cassation to replace Jules Cantave. He also becomes President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ). The former president of the Court of Cassation, Me Jules Cantave, who refused to resign despite pressure and still considers himself in office, disputes the decision to replace him and was absent at this ceremony. Gary Bodeau congratulates the CSC/CA "I welcome the institutional commitment and the work done by the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation (CSC/CA) for its record on the using of the Petro-Caribe Funds. The main objective of these workshops held at the Ministry in Port-au-Prince was to familiarize these citizens with the mission and attributions assigned to them in their new role, in a particular context, with great challenges and especially the the obligation to succeed and to be able to place orders at the next cartels that will come from the upcoming municipal elections. On February 1st, 2019, the Ministry of Public Health officially launched, in the department of Nippes, the Caravan for the promotion of healthy behaviors, against Non Communicable diseases and their screening.
