Haiti - NOTICE : Opening of inscriptions for the scholarships and internships of French Government

The scholarship program of the 2nd and 3rd cycle university and internships of the French Government, of the Bank of Republic of Haiti (BRH) / Haiti-France Friendship Group for the academic year 2019/2020 is open.

Application deadline: May 31, 2019

Master 2 Scholarships :
These scholarships are aimed at students of very good level wishing to follow a university training at the Master 2 level in Metropolitan France or in an Overseas Department. They are assigned on the basis of the file (criteria of academic excellence and social criteria). They will also be granted by theme.

For this year 2019/2020, the priority themes will be the following disciplines : science, rural development, environment and sustainable development, health, education, new technologies and innovation, economy and management, banking-insurance.

Conditions of eligibility :

Be under 35 years of age on January 1st of the year of award;
Be of Haitian nationality and reside in Haiti;
Hold a university degree at least BAC + 4 or equivalent in the relevant field of study;
Not having received a scholarship or internship from the French Embassy in the previous three years.

Doctoral scholarships :
To be eligible for a postgraduate scholarship (PhD), you must meet the following conditions:

Be under 40 years of age on January 1st of the year of award;
Be of Haitian nationality and reside in Haiti;
Hold a Master's degree (M2) at least or equivalent following a training course conferring research skills in accordance with the provisions of the Order of 25 May 2016 establishing the national framework for the training and the procedures leading to the award of the national doctoral diploma;
Not having received a scholarship, internship or research from the French Embassy in the previous three years, except direct extension of a current course;
File number if host institution and course are connected to Campus France.

Internship :
These scholarships are aimed at students, senior civil servants and managers from the private or voluntary sector, wishing to follow a practical training in a French training center. They are awarded according to the skills of the candidates and the interest of training for the development of Haiti.
To be eligible for an internship scholarship, you must meet the following conditions:

Be under 45 years of age on January 1st of the year of award;
Not having received a scholarship or internship from the French Embassy in the previous three years;
The adaptation of the training requested to the needs of the country;
Professional qualifications of the candidate;
For civil servant candidates: the degree of involvement of their administration, both in terms of career prospects at the return and trainee follow-up.

To register online :
Since December 10, 2018, the procedure to apply for graduate studies in France is done entirely digitally. The Espace Campus France in Haiti has indeed integrated the procedure online. From now on, all students wishing to pursue their higher education in France must submit their application via the website www.pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/authentification/login.html This procedure is mandatory (except for sectors and institutions not connected to Campus France). Students who wish to register for a doctorate will have to inquire directly with the host universities about the registration procedures.
