Haiti - Education : Important meeting around budget cuts
Tuesday at the initiative of the Cabinet of the Minister of National Education Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, was held an important working session between various senior officials of the Ministry of National Education at central and decentralized level, around the planned budget cuts in the implementation of the 2018-2019 budget.

Following a presentation by the Education and Programming Unit of the education investment component of the budget, the priority projects to be selected in relation to the amount of budget reductions envisaged were the focus of discussions. Other working meetings are planned in order to better harmonize the actions envisaged to improve the efficiency in the implementation of the investment budget.

Minister Cadet also met with a delegation of North-East educators around certain school infrastructure projects.

The construction of the René Théodore High School and that of the St Francis Xavier National School (FIC) were the two main items on the agenda of this meeting held in the presence of the former Minister Nesmy Manigat, Chairman of the Ethical Committee of the Global Partnership for Education and Ernst Bonnefil, Director of School Engineering.
