Haiti - Education : Towards an improvement in the management of public schools
Tuesday at the Marriott Hotel, Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education accompanied by senior officials of the West Departmental Directorate, the Chief of Staff, Jackson Pléteau, and the Director of Secondary Education (DFES) Maxime Mésilas held a working session with the principals of west high schools.

Personnel management, leadership, pedagogical and administrative supervision, all of which were discussed for improving the management of public schools.

Through this initiative, the Minister Cadet intended on the one hand to salute the directors of institutions who assume their responsibilities with seriousness, responsibility and leadership. On the other hand, he wanted to encourage those who fail in their duties to better assume their responsibilities in the operation of certain public schools marked by the absenteeism of the teachers and a lack of control in the hourly charges by teacher. This meeting allowed several high school directors to draw the attention of the Ministry's authorities to certain problems encountered in the management of their school, which call for an emergency intervention.

Maxime Mésilas, on instruction of the Minister, took the opportunity to distribute the schedule of examinations of the renovated Secondary.

The second part of this meeting was devoted to an exchange with student representatives of central committees of high schools. It allowed participants to better understand all the actions of the Ministry for better management of high schools and the problems faced by young people left to their fate by absent teachers...
