Haiti - Politic : Future Prime Minister, "the ball of the rumors" is open... 13/04/2011 13:03:25
According to Me Gervais Charles, General Counsel of Michel Martelly, the former U.S. President Bill Clinton has expressed to the new President, the wish to see retained in office, the current Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive... Some say they are anxious to measure the importance of change promised by the next President, in the choice of the next Prime Minister. Others are scrutinizing the entourage of the next head of state and wonder which personality could embody the change in question. The sociologist Daniel Supplice, a close political adviser of Michel Martelly, said yesterday that the President's team focused on the creation of the transitional committee responsible, together with the Préval government, of the transfer and of the mastery of large state files and the transfer of power in the best conditions. Mr. Supplice, which the name circulates as a potential Prime Minister said that President Martelly, had made no decision about this and attributed to rumors and speculation, the names of potential candidates put forward in recent days in the local media. A position confirmed by Me Gervais Charles [favorite of the platform Repon Peyizan to take the head of the Prime Minister's Office] who said that the new President "had not informed yet of its intentions concerning the designation of a new Prime Minister". Relatives suggest, however, that Me Charles would be currently reviewing such a proposal.
