Haiti - Politic : «Without women there is no balance» dixit Martine Moïse
Wednesday, as part of the commemoration of the 33rd National Day of the Haitian Women's Movement, the Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF) in the presence of the First Lady of the Republic, Martine Moïse, René Sylvestre, President of the Court of Cassation, Parliamentarians, civil society figures, members of the diplomatic corps and representative of the private business sector launched at the Convention Center of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) a 2-day high-level national forum on the theme "Women, Peace and Political Participation - Ann Chita Pale".

This forum brings together nearly 300 participants, women involved in public and political life from diverse horizons, aims to enlighten, inspire and motivate women by sharing experiences

"The celebration of the National Day of the Haitian Women's Movement is of paramount importance for Haitian women with a view to their integration into the political and economic life of Haiti [...] Without women there is no balance," said Martine Moïse in her speech, promising her unconditional support to women in their struggle for their full emancipation in society

Senator Carl Murat Cantave, Senate Speaker, advocated for an inclusive society while denouncing the prejudices against women, which hinder their full development "Throughout the process that led to the formation and development of the Haitian nation, women have always been important contributors, not to say decisive [...] wives or comrades; they have always been firm and dynamic in taking initiatives and participating in a series of activities aimed at: to advance society in general."

"Women are the 'Poto Mitan' of society and the future of the Republic belongs to them," said the President of the Court of Cassation at the opening of this Forum.
