Haiti - Politic : A South Korean NGO to help change the mentality of young Haitians
Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, signed on April 17 at the Polyvalent Training Center of Croix-des-Bouquets, a memorandum of understanding with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF), a leading South Korean NGO working in youth training and mentoring, in nearly 100 countries.

In his speech, the Minister Charles, in the presence of its Director General Mario Florvil, Ministry officials, 450 young people from the school Hope and members of the South Korean delegation, said that this protocol of agreement (without cost, or duration) consists in free training in : languages ​​(English and Spanish), dance, Tae Kwon Do and music that the Korean NGO will support for the benefit of Haitian youth for a change of mentality.

"Starting next week, young people are invited to register to increase their knowledge and bring about the expected change in mentality," said Charles after thanking the South Korean delegation on behalf of President Jovenel Moïse and the Prime Minister Jean Michel Lapin adding "The country can not move without training. This can help to change mentalities [...] Dear young people, learn. This is the opportunity that is offered to you. The country will be proud of you. No country without knowledge, without training."

A vision that echoed the philosophy of the IYF which in this circumstance projected a documentary motivating on the success of South Korea and the need for intellectual development of youth. During the presentation, Pastor Kim Jim Sung, Central America Regional Director of the Korean NGO recalled "Every country in difficult situation must invest in youth to get up".
