Haiti - Heritage : Towards the restoration of the forts of Oliviers and Saint-Louis
In the context of the RIAT-South/TCD program, supported financially, particularly by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), was had recently held a second field mission of the French firm Laure Marieu and Aurelie Rouquette (LMA), accompanied by members of the Institute of Safeguarding National Heritage (ISPAN) and the Town Hall of the commune, as part of its project, of restoration of the fortresses of Oliviers and of St. Louis (east of the city of Les Cayes) in consortium with the Haitian firm Acor based in Port au Prince.

In this context, heritage and landscape architects were able to make detailed surveys of these fortifications.

Note the presence during this mission of the French firm of Engineering Council CRÉOCEAN, mandated to develop a Management Plan for Marine Protected Areas of Saint Louis du Sud and Aquin and the French firm SFERE (specialized in the framework of calls for tenders on multilateral financing and partnerships) undertaken to inventory the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the South Department of Tourism in order to support their development.

Joining this mission are William Cinea expert in Botany and René Durocher naturalist expert, in order to make an inventory of the Fauna and Flora of the two Fortresses.
