Haiti - Weather : Tropical depression in formation, under surveillance
Haiti's Hydro Meteorological Unit, in conjunction with the Directorate of Civil Protection, is beginning to monitor the development of a disturbance "which could become a cyclonic phenomenon in the coming days" on the Caribbean.

For its part, the latest bulletin of the US National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami reports that a low pressure zone located about 1.850 km east of the Lesser Antilles, shows signs of organization, specifying that the environmental conditions are conducive to the development of a tropical depression likely to form over the weekend or early next week and which is moving for the time West-Northwest at a speed of about 24 km/h with winds of 45 km/h.

Probability of formation in tropical depression 60% in the next 48 hours and 70% in the next 5 days. Note that the NHC does not speak for the moment of hurricane possibility but of a tropical depression.

However, some weather experts in the Caribbean recommend monitoring this system as there is a possibility that it may affect the area by next week in the form of hurricane.
