Hqiti - Politic : National Palace, Council of Ministers held at the extraordinary 27/08/2019 11:13:17
On the agenda of this Council included, among others: the back to school scheduled for 9 September, the hurricane season and insecurity especially in the metropolitan area. It was for the Head of State, to take all the necessary measures to support parents in their efforts to facilitate the return of their children to school, strengthen the response mechanisms of the institutions concerned in case passage of possible bad weather on the country and to put out of state of harm the armed bands which terrorize and sow the mourning in the population. A tropical storm management plan DORIAN that could become a Category 1 Hurricane and affect mainly northern Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28595-haiti-flash-dorian-gets-closer-haiti-goes-on-yellow-alert.html for this purpose, a plan of action was presented by Dr. Jerry Chandler, Head of the Civil Protection Directorate (DPC). The Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities and the DPC are already mobilized for communication and pre-storm preparations. In addition, with regard to the back to school, provisions are made at the level of the Ministries of Education, Justice and Public Security so that the back can be held in peace.
