Haiti - Switzerland : Duvalier would consider contesting the action of the FDF
The former Haitian President Jean-Claude Duvalier would consider, according to one of his relatives, to contest the action opened on Monday by the Federal Department of Finance (FDF) before the Federal Administrative Court (FAC) aiming the forfeiting of the Duvalier assets frozen in Switzerland.

"It is clear that Jean-Claude Duvalier will attack the Switzerland before the European Court of Human Rights", said this Source to AFP on condition of anonymity. "This is not the money of Jean-Claude Duvalier, these are funds from his mother. The amount we are talking about corresponds to over 80% of interest on funds deposited in Switzerland for 50 years by the Foundation Simone Duvalier. [the deceased mother of Duvalier]"

At the time of his return to Haiti "Baby doc" had indicated that he wished that these funds be used for the reconstruction of Haiti [±6,7 millions de dollars] "He wants that the money be managed by a sort of Haitian foundation and not by Swiss NGOs", added the source close to "Baby Doc".
