Haiti - Politic : The Ministry of Education continues to provide a public service and prepares the post-crisis
Friday, October 25, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education met with several technical directors, cluster coordinators and members of his cabinet. On the agenda : the functioning of the Ministry in this time of crisis; the measures envisaged for the rearrangement of the school calendar and the development of minimum programs for basic and secondary education...

For the Minister Cadet, it is a question of continuing to offer the public service despite the difficulties, (all the schools of the country are not closed or affected by the crisis) and to prepare, above all, the framework of action of the post-crisis to continue school activities.

Along the same lines, the Chief of Staff, Jackson Pléteau, emphasized the Ministry's responsibility to support schools in the right to education and for the validation of the school year, noting that given the number of days already lost, the technical teaching directorates have an important role to play...

Jacques Yvon Pierre and Harold Narcisse, coordinator and assistant to the Minister's Cabinet, as well as other technical directors, emphasized innovative approaches via digital technologies to achieve these objectives.

Cadet stated that all directors had been instructed to form discussion groups with their staff to maintain contact and share information to anticipate issues that could affect the presence at work of some resources "Each entity manager must do his best to ensure a minimum of public service in this time of crisis and to fight against unjustified absenteeism in all its forms, while taking into account the difficulties of moving around in difficult zones."

Other meetings will follow in order to consolidate the actions in progress.
