Murder of customs officers in Malpasse, the perpetrators still in liberty

17 kidnapping victims killed
Saturday Guibert Joachim 33 years old was arrested at Port-de-Paix in a gas station. It is the 4th arrested of a member of a dangerous gang specialized in the kidnappings, 3 other accomplices are actively researched. According to Volney Bellamin, the Commissioner of the Government of Port-de-Paix, in the last 7 months, this gang allegedly executed 17 of their kidnapped victims despite the payment of the required ransoms

Women's March in the Capital

Diaspora : Tribute to 2 great artists
The Haitian Embassy in Washington DC received the Haitian Art Society as part of its annual conference. Two plaques of honor were presented : one to the family of the late Mr Fritz Racine and the other to Gérald Alexis for their dedication and their contribution in the popularization of Haitian art. During his remarks, Haitian Ambassador Hervé Denis stressed the need to strengthen ties with this association "which is doing an extraordinary job in promoting Haitian art".
