Haiti - Politic : Visit of the Secretary General of the OAS
Early Monday afternoon Luis Almagro, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), arrived in Haiti for a brief 24-hour visit.

Almagro was received in audience by President Jovenel Moïse, in particular the socio-political situation in Haiti was discussed. However, no official press release was published on the content of the meeting, but a joint conference is scheduled for Tuesday by the Head of State and the Secretary General of the OAS, who will leave Haiti in the afternoon.

Recall that Haiti will assume from April 1 to June 30, 2020 the rotating Presidency of the Permanent Council of the Hemispheric Organization.
