As part of the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the earthquake of January 12, 2010, the well-known writer and evangelist artist Joël Lorquet, presents to the public "Pitye pou Ayiti, Papa !", a song intended to pay tribute to the victims of the earthquake of January 12, 2010

Joël Lorquet encourages other musicians to do the same by writing patriotic or committed texts in order to make compatriots aware of the real problems of the country and thus raise awareness among local leaders for effective leadership, in order avoid repeating the mistakes of the past and thus look to the future in a more positive light for all, like developed countries.

Note that the song "Pitye pou Ayiti" was written on Sunday January 17, 2010 less than a week after the earthquake which killed nearly 300,000 people and destroyed 75% of Port-au-Prince in 35 seconds...
