Haiti - USA : The USA wants a safe, secure, and prosperous Haiti
Yesterday Sunday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a statement on the occasion of 10th anniversary of the January 12, 2010 earthquake, in which he reiterated the commitment of the United States to work for the advent of a safe, secure, and prosperous Haiti

"Today [Sunday 01-12-2020], the United States joins the people of Haiti and the international community in solemn remembrance of the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. We uphold the memories of those who perished and reflect on the courage, heroism, and strength of the Haitian people, who continue to strive to build a country that honors the memory of those who passed, secure in dignity and prosperity for themselves and their families.

The United States reiterates its commitment to improving disaster preparedness and resilience in the region through the U.S. Caribbean Resilience Partnership.

We also remain committed to a safe, secure, and prosperous Haiti and a better future for the Haitian people."
