Black History Month
"Dear compatriots and friends, I make it my duty to remind everyone that the month of February is known throughout the world as 'Black History Month'. It is an opportunity for us to think about our heritage and the place that our country occupies in the history of humanity in general and of the black race in particular. The 'Black History Month' is the shortest of the year. We will pay tribute to our National Heroes in February and throughout the year. Our history which inspired so many peoples should at least be honored everywhere during the twenty-nine days of February 2020. It is therefore up to us to be proud of it and to train children proud of our identity" former Consul General of Haiti in Chicago Lesly Condé.
