Haiti - Politic : Misstatement of the President of the Lower House 10/06/2011 10:28:50 Based on the statements of the President of the Lower House, we reported : "Regarding the absence of a tax clearance, stating the payment of taxes rental of his second home, Mr Rouzier said he had not provided this document, given that this house had collapsed during the earthquake of January 2010 and that it was only a land he owned." https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3127-haiti-politic-the-record-of-the-prime-minister-designate-is-complete.html In a statement, the Bureau of Prime Minister-designate, Daniel Gérard Rouzier, the latter wishes to make a clarification to the public in general and the press, especially "Contrary to some allegations, the former residence of husband Daniel-Gérard Rouzier, located to the impasse Devilmé to Bois Moquette, was not destroyed in the earthquake of January 12, 2010. It was sold 6 years ago following the kidnapping of Madame Rouzier and her subsequent departure from the country with her children and since Mr. Rouzier resides in the family home of the Rouzier at Morne Brun [which explains the absence of the tax clearance missing.] [...] The earthquake of January 12 has nevertheless partially destroyed the building of Shasa located in the Downtown and part of patrimony of the Group SunAuto which Mr. Rouzier was President." It seems that President of the House of Deputies has either confused the two properties or he does not know his record... in both cases this is not reassuring to see, the confusion which seems to prevail at the level of some parliamentarians in this process of ratification of the utmost importance... Yesterday Thursday, the Prime Minister-designate, would have handed, according to Jean William Jeanty, the President of the Commission [of Senate] in charge of analyzing the record of Daniel Gérard Rouzier, the photocopies of his two passports.
