Haiti - Social : Passing of Bernard Fils-Aimé
The American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti (AmCham) announces the passing away of Bernard Fils-Aimé (67 years old), at the University of Miami hospital following the Covid-19.

"We present our sympathies to his wife Marise Fils-Aimé, his children and grandchildren, to the large family of AmCham Haiti and particularly the members who knew and worked with him."

A mass will be celebrated in his memory on Friday. August 14, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at St Charbel church in Péguy-ville.

Learn more about Bernard Fils-Aimé :
Former assistant dean of students of Miami Dade College and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Haitian Education & Leadership Program (Help), he was also a founding member, defender of rights Haitians through "The Haitian refugee Center" in Florida and a promoter of education accessible to all.

Bernard Fils-Aimé was Chairman of the Board of Amcham Haiti from 2006 to 2007. He was also a pioneer in mobile telecommunications in Haiti, Founder of "Communication Cellulaire d'Haïti" (ComCel).
