Haiti - Football : Death of legendary defender Ernst Jean-Joseph
On Friday morning, Ernst Jean-Joseph aka "Ti Nès" one of the best defenders in Haitian football history died suddenly of a heart attack on his home country at the age of 72, so he seemed to be in great shape and was not sick.

Recall that "Ti Nès", the former central defender of the Association Sportive Capoise (ASC) in 1969 and of Violette (1969-1977), one of the stars of the Grenadiers had played in the qualifiers and the final phase of the World Cup of FIFA, Germany 1974.

CONCACAF champion with the selection in 1973, Vice-champion in 1971 and 1977 he was part of the technical staff of Violette who won the Champions League in 1984. He also played in the United States in 1978 under the colors of the Sting of Chicago, D2 club of the North American Soccer League.

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) "offers its most sincere condolences to the family of Ernst Jena Joseph, former defender of the legendary national team."
