Haiti - Security : The PNH will work with the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H)
Yesterday Monday took place at the National Palace, an extraordinary Council of Ministers around the phenomenon of insecurity.

Among the measures adopted :

A Decree to revise the Law on the State of Emergency in order to give the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) the means to combat banditry and crime.

A Decree empowering the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) to work in synergy to combat insecurity. This Decree allows the competent authorities to mobilize any external support necessary for the achievement of their mission.

Mathias Pierre, Minister Delegate in charge of Electoral Matters, for his part specified that "The departure of MINUSTAH from the country weakens the security of the elections. A synergy between the PNH (Electoral Security Unit) and the FADH, each in their own spheres of action, can help defeat banditry to facilitate the organization of elections in Haiti."
