Haiti - FLASH : Attack in Bel Air, all the details and assessment (investigation)
Following the new armed attacks recorded in the Bel-Air neighborhood, on March 31 and April 1, 2021, the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) met several of the victims who recounted the circumstances of these attacks, the seriousness of which has particularly attracted the attention of the organization. The RNDDH considers it its duty to share with those interested in the issue the first information collected.

Recall that in the afternoon, from April 1, 3 armed gangs of the G-9 were involved in these events, respectively led by Iscard Andrice operating in Belekou (Cité Soleil), by Micanor Altes aka "King Mikanò" operating in Wharf Jérémie (Cité Soleil) and by Wilson Pierre aka "Ti Sonson" whose "Krache Dife" gang operates in Street Saint Martin, its surroundings up to Street Montalais.

The partial assessment of these attacks, which began the day before, is very heavy at least 13 people were killed in total between March 31 and April 1, 2021 (including 3 attackers, members of the G9), 5 people are missing and 4 others were injured.

In addition, twenty-two (22) private residences were set on fire and at least three (3) trading houses were also set on fire, i.e. one (1) food store, one (1) bakery and one (1) multi-service business. In addition, three (3) motorcycles were set on fire and one (1) car ransacked.
