Haiti - Justice : Strike to the HUEH, 4 employees before the justice
The indefinite strike of medical staff, which paralyzes the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH) since July 6 had provoked strong reactions this week of Dr. Alix Lassègue, Executive Director of HUEH when the protesters had dumped garbage and medical waste within the enclosure of the health facility "...I do not quite understand how the staff working in a health institution, can use waste and even medical waste, as a way to claim. A work stoppage or strike is something that is constitutional, but there are ways to do it, because using waste that are virulent it is endangering the health of patients and of staff..."

For his part, the Minister Alex Larsen stated firmly "...At the ministry level we will take steps not only to restore the safety of the hospital, but also against these unacceptable acts..."

The Minister Larsen changed his words into actions, because Sonel Jean François, the Government Commissioner has summoned to the Prosecutor Office of Port-au-Prince, Thursday, July 28, four striking employees accused by the authorities of the HUEH of these acts and of criminal association. The commissioner explained that "that as an instance of prosecution guarantor of public order, the prosecution can not condone such acts."
