Haiti - Football : Grenadiers ! To the attack !
30 nations of the zone Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) will compete in the second round of the playoffs that begin Sept. 6, 2011 and ending November 15, to try to get one of the top three places of qualification for the finals of the 2014 World Cup to be played in Brazil.

Following the draw, the Grenadiers, head of series of group F, will meet Antigua & Barbuda, U.S. Virgin Islands and Curacao. They should normally fly over these adversaries "rather easy" provided they are an adequate preparation for the playoffs.

In case of qualification, the Grenadiers will play the third round of these playoffs, in the group A, they will have to qualify against the teams of the USA, Jamaica and the the winner of the Group E (Grenada, Guatemala, Saint Vincent & Grenadines, Belize) before thinking about the final tournament of the zone. Recall that Haiti has played only the final phase of World Cup in Germany [1974].

To prepare these playoffs, the Grenadiers will face at a major international friendly match on 10 August his counterpart of Trinidad & Tobago at the Sylvio Cator Stadium. For the occasion the Haitian Football Federation (FHFP and the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) have decided to present their best players to this date.

For this match, the Brazilian coach Edson Tavares of the national team, will use a group of 11 players, all playing abroad :

The FHF already invites the Haitian public to offer a warm welcome to "Socca Warriors" who show us their friendships by accepting this invitation for the first international match that will be played in Haiti for many years.

Results of the draw of teams for the playoffs : (Zone CONCACAF (2nd and 3rd round)

Group A: Salvador, Surinam, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic
Group B: Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Barbados, Bermuda 

Group C: Panama, Dominica, Nicaragua, Bahamas
Group D: Canada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia 

Group E: Grenada, Guatemala, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize
Group F: Haiti, Antigua and Barbuda, Curacao, U.S. Virgin Islands

The winning team from each group will have access the third round:

Group A: USA, Jamaica, winner of E, winner 
F
Group B: Mexico, Costa Rica, winner, winner B
Group C: Honduras, Cuba, D winner, winner C

The first two of each group will play a fourth round in a pool of six where the first three will qualify directly, while the 4th in the standings will have to go through the barrage.
