Haiti - Politic : Reactions of the Minustah to the rejection of Bernard Gousse
In a statement, the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minustah) said takes note of the decision of the Parliament of Haiti to reject the candidacy of Bernard Gousse as Prime Minister.

"This is the second time that the Parliament rejects the nomination of a Prime Minister designated by the President of the Republic, since his inauguration on 14 May 2011.

Minustah is concerned about the absence of a government in Haiti for almost three months. This limits the State's ability to implement its programs, to guide the reconstruction process, and to meet its responsibilities towards the people of Haiti.

Minustah respectfully reminds all political players in the country of their responsibility to work in the best interests of the nation and encourages all political actors to negotiate and search for a consensus which would lead to the good governance of Haiti."
