Haiti - Elections : The Federation of CASEC wishes the organization of municipal elections

Yesterday, during a press briefing, Jean Julmé Alexandre, Executive Director of the National Federation of Boards of communal sections of Haiti (Fenacah) has wished that the Executive and the Legislative find an agreement as soon as possible to resolve the political crisis. The end of this crisis and the establishment of a new government, would allow to hold municipal elections for the renewal of members of the Boards of Directors of the Communal Sections (CASEC) whose the mandates of the advisers, is arrived at expiration since the month of April 2011.
Mr. Paul André, President of the National Federation of CASEC, wished to recall that the choice of advisers should be made by elections, in accordance with the constitution of 1987 and not by appointment as suggested by some rumors.
