Haiti - Irene : Internal flights banned until further notice
Currently located to 19.5 degrees north and 68.6 degrees West, Irene is currently moving at 20 km/h (13 mph) along a trajectory West Northwest, its center is currently located 376 km (234 mi) southeast of Cap Haitien (presently on the axis of the Gonaives). Le core of this system should pass off the coast (about 80 to 100km / 49 to 62 mi) tonight and/or this night, with sustained winds (maximum) of 130 km/h (80 mi/h), with higher gusts. Winds extend outward up to 45 km (30 mi) from the center. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 295 km (185 mi), mainly to the northeast of the center.

NOAA says that along the entire coast of the Dominican Republic (also applicable to Haiti because we have the same coast), the sea level could be higher of 2 to 4 feet that during normal tides.

For its part, the Civil Protection reported that the Rivière des Barres and Trois Rivières are in flood in the Northwest. The National Meteorology Centre in conjunction with the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) prohibits cabotage operations throughout the north coast of Haiti until further notice.

The National Office of Civil Aviation (OFNAC) informs that domestic flights to and from the departments of the North, Northeast and Northwest are banned until further notice due to Irene.

Following the current trajectory, Irene is located at:

376 km (234 mi) of Cap Haïtien
501 km (311 mi) of Môle Saint-Nicolas
433 km (269 mi) of Saint-Louis-du-Nord
483 km (300 mi) of Jean Rabel
428 km (266 mi) of the Gonaïves
