Haiti - Politic : U.S. diplomats meet with the G16
The Senator Jean Hector Anacacis, Vice-President of the Senate and faithful ally of the G16, confirmed that a meeting was held Wednesday night, to Morne Calvaire (east of the capital) between members of the G16 and U.S. diplomats led by Kenneth Merten, U.S. Ambassador to Haiti.

Though absent in this meeting, the Senator Anacasis asserts that there had been no pressure or recommendation of the U.S. "The United States are inevitable everywhere, not just in Haiti, the Senators can not refuse to meet the U.S. Ambassador..." This has not prevented the Vice President of the Senate to recognize in the same time, to have convinced some Senators not to participate in this meeting, remarks confirmed by the absence of 10 members of the G16 at the meeting... remarks confirmed by the absence of 10 members of the G16 at the meeting ... Anacacis said that the parliamentarians had expressed at that meeting, their willingness to help to unblock the situation if the Head of State "shares his responsibilities..."

On Thursday, the second Senator of South East, Wencesclass Lambert, stressed that the U.S. diplomats would only express the concerns of the Obama administration, about the political impasse and explore ways to get out. G16 members have indicated their position, on the issue to find to the current political crisis by focusing on the necessity of "a compromise" that can enable the formation of a new government.

Wencesclass Lambert, recalled that the G16 did not intend to oppose to the new Government and it was ready to ratify a new Prime Minister designate is the "the conditions are met..." Recalling to the President Martelly to respect the limits of his powers.

He warned that the majority group and the Parliament will never let the Head of State, to decide all the the thing, alone, "We will never ever let Martelly appoint alone, the 44 heads of diplomatic missions of Haiti abroad, and never, he will appoint, alone the 36 Directors General and 18 ministerial portfolios..."
