Haiti - Reconstruction : Israel and France sign agreement to help Haiti 12/09/2011 14:03:05
The development is an important issue on the international agenda, particularly in the context of recent global crises (food, climate change, energy, etc.), which mainly hurts developing countries, many of whom suffer from extreme poverty... Both Israel and France have seen this joint activity as the addition of a new phase of their relationship. French-Israeli cooperation, which will be implemented by the Israeli Agency, will focus on the sending of experts, consulting, the vocational training and others, appropriate to the needs and wishes of the countries receiving the aid. In the first phase, the countries designated to receive assistance are Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Haiti. A steering committee composed of representatives of Israel and France, responsible for monitoring the implementation of the agreement and the approval of work plans, will meet once a year. Note that Israel is one of the only country in the world to not provide money to a third country but only material assistance and experts. S/ HaitiLibre
