Haiti - Reconstruction : 150 permanent houses for Léogâne
The President Michel Martelly, the U.S. Ambassador to Haiti, Kenneth M. Merten, the President of IDB, Dr. Eduardo Almeida, the National Director, Habitat for Humanity Haiti, Claude Jeudy, and Mark Andrews ice President, Haiti Recovery, Habitat for Humanity International will be present at the inauguration of the permanent housing development project in Léogâne. This project is funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, SHO/Cordaid and others partners, it will provide housing for up to 500 families [when the project will be completed].

By the end of 2011, 150 permanent homes will be constructed on the Santo site. From November 5, 500 Carter Work Project volunteers, will build 100 homes while 50 others will be built by volunteers from Haven Community Foundation, an Irish NGO, with whom Habitat has also partnered to provide logistical support.
